After Effects CC 2018: New Project

My favourite After Effects CC2018 feature so far has to be the New Project option which allows you to set a custom template to load every time you start a new project.

Here’s how you set a custom template to load every time you start a new project.

Step 1

Create a template you’ll be happy with. In my case that consists of folders for Assets, Pre-comps, Masters and Archive.

Step 2

Save it on a location you know won’t be moving or changing.

Step 3

Head to Preferences > New Project…

Step 4

Tick “New Project loads template”, locate your template and click OK.

Step 5

All done! Now every time you start a new project your template will be loaded.
